A note before reading

This library is based on Master Shengyuan’s personal experiences and reflections on spiritual practice. They may not apply to everyone’s circumstances. It is important to distinguish everyday life from spiritual practice, and science from metaphysical beliefs. Use your own judgment and read with care. If you have questions, you are welcome to discuss them.

You can. With enough understanding and the ability to manage life, someone can move in a good direction without religious practice. Practice is not everyone’s only available path.

To me, practice is drawing on support to strengthen our efforts. We receive support through faith, learn wisdom from deities and Buddhas and apply the principles to work, life and relationships, gaining additional strength for what we wish to do.

This comes from my journey; others may see it differently. Even when choosing faith, learning and action remain our responsibility. Deities and Buddhas are teachers, not recipients of our entire life to manage. Valuing their assistance and genuinely applying the wisdom in life gives this learning meaning.
